Webcam

How can I broadcast my webcam through my internet server at home for viewing across the net? I've set up port forwarding (I think) on port 80 on my linksys router.  I've even tried opening up all the ports though I know this is not secure, but nothing seems to work.  The program I'm using to broadcast is Iris 1.0.7 and I'm using Mac OS 10.5.8.

can you browse to your local machine on port 80 and see the cam ? if not, we need to look there (firewall maybe on ?) can you browse to your machine on port 80 from another machine on the LAN ?

1. Snapshots or streaming video?
2. Can you view the webcam from another computer within the LAN?

NB: If you have not done so yet, close those ports. "Not secure" does not begin to describe the risk of, in essence, taking down your firewall.

I can view the streaming video within the LAN, but from the outside I get the error message that the server is not responding.  I am trying to access it using the external ip address and it is set to a static ip.  I did close my ports btw and reset the default settings on the router to start from scratch.
Try a different port on your router, i.e 81 -> yourpc:80 .. it may be that your router is running its own interface on port 80 and blocking it from the outside - it may also be that your ISP is blocking it.
