Installing Java update group policy server 2008

Hi EE,

I am about to push out the new Java update via GP.  There is currently a GP for the recent Java release.  If I simply delete the existing GP and add another one in, will it install over the top with no problem?

That's not so simple. If you set up new Java policy, it will install it in new folder without uninstalling the old one.
To be able managing Java updates this way, you need other software like SCCM or write some kind of scripts to uninstall the old version first.

Maybe it is worth considering ?

I'd suggest setting up a test OU, moving a few workstations in there, and testing your options with one or two workstations to ensure you understand the changes.
