I have backed up all his data and run HDD regen and have gotten to the point where regen tell me to restart the computer and also &quot;Your hard drive is not fixed yet...If your Sata controller works in AHCI mode, change it to compatible IDE mode&quot;.<br />
Now the purpose of this question is not to ask whether I should replace the hdd or not but to get more familiar with &nbsp;hdd Regen. I have goggled and searched and cannot find user notes, etc. for this program.<br />
1) What step do I next take after this message comes up in hhd regen? In the bios how do I <br />
change to IDE mode? If his bios does not support the change to IDE will the hdd not be fixed?<br />
