Backing up Microsoft Information Store with Symantec Backup Exec 12.5

Hi,

Backing up Microsoft Information Store getting failed on the below error:

Backup- \\myserver\Microsoft Information Store\First Storage Group Database  was not found, or could not be accessed.
Database  was not found, or could not be accessed.

The backup job backs the data to NAS. This was running fine earlier, but for past few weeks getting failed continuously. The rest of the data are backed up correctly but fails only on MIS.

Have checked with the job selection and it is correct. The job runs under administrator privileges. Have also tried backing up MIS alone separately, even then its getting failed.

But another job that backs up the same (Microsoft Information Store) to tape goes fine.

Any solutions?

Thanks

The process I am saying may take sometime for you to test .
1. Dismount the store and Mount again .  try backup again
2. If failed again Create a full new Job for Backup and try .

As I had the same problem and for me it did work .

maybe this will help you..

else edit the job. unmark the exchange
submit
edit the job again and mark the exchange again.

A couple of things to try or check.

Is the backup to disk job using the same selection list as the tape job? Might want to try that.

Do you have a temp location specified in the disk based job that has enough room for the entire information store?

Do you have granular restore checked for the disk based job?
