asked on

how many CPU/core in system

In device manager, it tells the CPU Name. It does not tell exactly how many CPU and how many cores are present. How could we get to know this, without looking up the specs of the chip manufacturer?

thanks

DMTitan, that gives # of cores, but specifically how many CPUs-?
chuckyh, anything in-built?
Go to the apple icon in upper left. > About This Mac. click on More info. Under contents in the right hand pane, click on Hardware. In the right pane it will list the number of processors and the number of cores per processor.
