Blackberry Enterprise Server Express - Sync Issues
Hi,
Currently I'm at a loss with this issue and EE is the last port of call before I contact Blackberry support. I'm hoping someone can offer some help so here the scenario...
We've got a single server running 2003 SBS. This is working fine though does have some low disk space issues on the c:\ (not sure if that relavent).
We've installed BES Express on this server (on the d:\ partition ). We've got one handset currently using this with a few to adding another 4-5.
This issue is: when we delete email from the inbox of the phone, this change reflects in the users Exchange mailbox. However when deleted from the Exchange mailbox the change (deletion) is not made on the handset. This results in a handset that is clogged with old email.
We've even uninstalled and reinstalled BES Express, and the user had a brand new clean handset at the same time.
We've checked all the obvious areas such as the mailbox settings on the phone - these seem to be setup ok.
Has anyone seen this before or have any idea how to go about troubleshooting further (e.g. logs)?
Any help appreciated.
Thanks,
Ben

Was this to only 1 device or all of them?
ASKER
Only 1 single device is connected to BES - no others are activated.

If you could have another one, you could pinpoint the issue whether its the bberry or the bes.
Also, did you tried to wipe the bberry and restart anew?

originally we we're using a curve 8600, we've since carried out a clean install of BES on the server (latest version) and reactivated using a new bold 9000 handset. The old curve hasn't been used with the new user account at all.
So to answer you're question we've tried a new clean handset and bes install.
I suppose I could source another phone and see what happens using a different user account but I don't have one easily to hand right now so would rather avoid if possible!

Have you tried to delete calendar's items or contacts as to see if its only related to mail or everything in the bberry?
ASKER
Strangely its just email - calendar and contacts seem fine...
I've got some more information that should be helpful - apparently reading the email in outlook reflects on the handset, as does moving the email to an outlook folder (the icon on the BB changes to a folder symbol). Its just the deletion of email from outlook - when you do this the email just stays in the BB inbox as unread.
Very strange... Its as if the deletion command (or whatever process happens) isnt being initiated.

I'm just trying to recall stuff... I dont have any Bberry at hand nor BES, this was year back. I know that I already fixed quite a few things by wiping the bberry, reinitialize it. If you could play with it, you could also try that with another account if it coule be related to the profile itself.
I know there is some logs here and there, but cant recall where to look at exactly.
