Exchange 2003 Send On Behalf Problem
Hey Guys,
I have some problem with "Send on Behalf",
I gave permission to user to send on behalf of some other user (doesn't metter if it was set from AD or Outlook). when sending the mail in the "Form" field doesn't say "This mail was sent from userA on behalf of UserB".
I also checked that there are no "Send as" permission in the AD and that there are no permission above "Author" on the mailbox folders.

Please Help,
Sorry for the lame English :)

The 'send as' permission is set either in the EMC or AD.

The 'send on behalf of' permission is set in delegate permissions.

Yeah I know, i also have in the AD option to set send on behalf.
what i'm saying is that i tried to set this not only in delegates in outlook but also in the AD.
and i verified that "send as" isn't checked.

Is the user a member of a group that may have 'Send As' on the mailbox?

Give the user 'Deny' on the 'Send As' of the mailbox and then see what happens. Since Exchange has to read from AD and only does this every 2 hours, it might take 2 hours to for this change to take effect.

Your original question was hard to understand. Are you trying to hide the part saying "Sent on behalf of.."?

Look at advanced mailbox properties. Is the person allowed Full Mailbox permissions?
I think that is when you can send-as and all it shows is the person's name... no "Sent on behalf of.."

There is also send-as under the security tab in the AD account properties. I think you have to be viewing "Advanced features" in AD users & computers to see that...
And also under Exchange General > Delivery Options.

To see the 'sent on behalf of', you need to have 'send as' permission unchecked/removed and the send on behalf of delegate permission set. Full mailbox access is independant of send as as indicated by the option to set either separately in the EMC.
