Verizon MiFi Custom Port Forwarding

Verizon MiFi only has a handful of ports that can be forwarded through their web based interface.

I am trying to find a solution that would allow custom port forwarding through the MiFi. In particular, I want to forward RTSP for a camera (554, 5000), but would also like the ability to forward any port desired.

Thanks for your help.

I have one of these little guys, but never needed to forward any ports. I looked, and there's no way to do it with the current firmware. I was optimistic that I could modify the config.xml file to do this, but no such luck. I also don't see how you could use port redirection, as the camera won't likely have this capability. I'm also assuming that you can't change the default listening ports on the camera. If this is all true... I'd solve the problem using a cradlepoint router.

Thanks dopenkly, not sure that would be a solution though.

Since the mifi is the first point of contact, wouldn't the mifi still reject the request of the particular port?

Cradlepoint confirmed the MiFi would act as a modem (basically "bridge mode") and therefore should pass everything to the Cradlepoint router to deal with.

I have not yet personally tested this option, but it sounds like the solution I need.
