Hello,

We run a Win2008R2 Xenapp6 farm. When our users start a published app from a TS server to their Hosted shared desktop it loads slowly. It seems it logs in and loads the users profile, just as the desktop servers do when they login.

how can we stop this, but still provide the user who starts the app what they need from within the published app such as mapped drives etc?

what i want is to stop the loading of profiles on the backend TS servers, any way todo this?
Have you tried:

On the Terminal Services Profile tab, under Profile Path:, type the new path to the user's profile, and then click OK.
So it will be a blank profile...

Regards.

hi, I dont want another path at all, just stop the terminal server providing the published app to not load user roaming profiles.
Ok, so i guess you can  achieve this by enable "Only allow local user profiles" in Computer
Config -> Administrative Templates -> System -> User Profiles

Pls give it a try!

This is as designed a NO WAY you can stop it.  A local profile is ALWAYS created on EVERY TS/RDS/Citrix server a users connects to for a desktop or application.  Just the way it is, was designed and probably always will be.
Yes, you will always have a local profile, that you can delete every logoff for an example..
