msxml3.dll error '800c0008' The download of the specified resource has failed.

We have been running our ASP website for years, no problem using the "Microsoft.XMLHTTP" object to perform transactions with and other systems.

However, in the last few days, any attempt to use this now results in the following message:

error '800c0008'
The download of the specified resource has failed.

The only thing I can think of that has changed is that we installed a new Thawte SSL certificate on the web server. Could this in any way be what is causing this all of a sudden?

We are dead in the water until we can get this resolved, please help!

p.s. the version of msxml3.dll is and we load it with the following command:

I made the following change to make it work:
 ' ORIGINAL Set objRequest = Server.CreateObject("Microsoft.XMLHTTP")
Set objRequest = Server.CreateObject("MSXML2.ServerXMLHTTP")
 objRequest.setOption 2, 13056  ' NOTE: 13056 = SXH_SERVER_CERT_IGNORE_ALL_SERVER_ERRORS
I found this fix in the following Experts Exchage page:
