Can you tell me how to permanently hide the wireless password? My laptop have Windows 7 on it.

Thanks,

Here is a solution. Maybe it will work for you as it worked for me: http://www.sevenforums.com/network-sharing/68280-any-way-mask-hide-wifi-keys.html

The wireless password/passphrase should only be visible to an Administrator.

If you have users log in as a Standard user, then the password will be hidden, and when they click on the show characters check box they'll be prompted by UAC. As long as they don't have the Administrator password, they won't see the wireless password/passphrase.

As per this thread, this is by design and cannot be disabled.

As RootsMan mentions, this can be controlled by a administrator and require a UAC prompt for a standard user.

@emilhomem, shouldn't I get the "Accepted Solution," since the link you did accept only restates what I wrote?
