Database exception while starting Sharepoint 2010 search

Needed some help on these issues.I am having trouble configuring  the Enterprise search service application in sharepoint 2010 when SQL is in an untrusted  domain. I was getting a database exception, when trying to start enterprise search in Sharepoint 2010. Sharepoint 2010 is looking for windows authentication when i was trying to start it but the local account that i was using was not there on AD, but it is on SQL server which is in a untrusted domain. I don't know how to force Sharepoint 2010 to SQL server authentication rather than windows authentication using powershell or please, let me know is there any other way to resolve this issue.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
