LexMark X75 mac install not working

Installing a brand new iMac with a LexMark X75 all-in-one printer.

Download and install the latest X75 drivers from the lexMark website (11.3MB).

Run and a 4 point screen pops up.
First point click on the button saying "Open Print Center".
Click on it and nothing happens.

What's the workaround?

Many thanks,

Do you already have some 'system prefs' sub window open ?

You can open print prefs manually by going to system prefs and selecting the printer icon. That should let you progress ?

Nothing else way opened.

Trying to install from the File Finder/Printer//Add Printer didn't show the X75 drivers in the list.

Why don't printer manufacturers make it easy for the rest of mankind?
Not sure that that supports the X75.

You might want to make sure you have a hard wired USB connection when you install and reset the printer.

A workaround is to use a virtual machine such as parallels or VMWARE on the mac and use the windows driver.  Not a good solution.
