Hello

I am trying to set up multiple monitors on a PC - this is quite an old pc and I have just installed Windows 7 on it and wiped it all (Do not have the original restore disk that came with pc) - it is all working fine apart from the multiple monitors - I am trying to connect it to my TV using the S-Video. When I go to the graphic properties it can detect the tv fine but there is nothing displaying on the TV.

I am not sure if I should install Windows XP instead of 7 but dont think that would be the problem?

Details of the PC below
Intel Pentium D CPU 2.8Ghz
1 GB ram
NVIDIA GeForce 7300 SE / 7200 gs

Please help I only want it for playing videos on my TV.

Thanks
Adam

Several things to check ...

(a)  In Display Properties have you set the Multiple displays setting to "Extend these displays" ?

(b)  Is the 2nd display set to a resolution that is supportable by your TV (generally 800 x 600 or 1024 x 768 for an svideo display)

(c)  Is the TV set to the svideo input?    (If it has more than one svideo input, be sure to cycle through them to be sure you've selected the correct one)

... Note:  I presume you know how to show the Display Properties ... but just in case:  right-click on the desktop;  select Screen resolution  ==>  you'll then see a display that allows you to set the resolution for each of the detected displays and to set the "Extend these displays"  attribute for your displays.

While it's hard to say for sure in the absense of any feedback,  I think the suggestions I provided would absolutely have resolved this.
