BOOTMGR is missing on HP COMPAQ mini 110c-111ej
Hello,
I have HP mini 110c laptop, windows xp won't load and instead I have this message "BOOTMGR IS MISSING press ctrl+alt+delete to restart"
There is no recovery partition and no advanced settings in bios. I tried reinstalling using an external usb cd drive but setup cannot find any hard drivers.
I have also tried to slipstream the drivers from HP website (intel ich7) from the expanded driver folder. Still setup says
no hard drives found..
Please any ideas maybe how to workaround and fix the error? I have tried bootrec /FixBoot using windows 7 repair cd as a last resort but that didn't help either..
any ideas?

the bios don't have those options, it has boot options and information, nothing else..
Try booting from the CD and do a repair install http://michaelstevenstech.com/XPrepairinstall.htm
DONT try and repair with a Vista or Win7 DVD - they are very different and you may well do more harm then good

I know, just needed an access to the drive, because windows setup won't recognize it.
I wrote in the thread all I have done, basically I think I may have the wrong sata drivers for HP COMPAQ MINI 100c-1110ej
which is different from other models, no recovery partition, no CD drive, no hard drive configure options in bios..

at intel's website I will try it and check back.

all boot cd's couldn't see my hard drive, it was set to active already..
I had to install windows 7 and it works great on this computer, even no drivers needed..

Windows 7 has drivers for it already. That's why you could install it.

I know, it is a shame for HP I could not find the right sata drivers for this specific model hp mini 110c-1110ej
with windows 7 it's much easier.
Thank you !

info was not sufficiant
This may also be a SATA drive (I can't quite identify the model exactly). If so look in the BIOS and see if the drive interface can be changed to Legacy or PATA or compatible. If you can do that then try the reinstall again.
