cannot install eclipse uml2 tools plugin

I have downloaded eclipse uml2 and eclipse uml2 tools  plugin from
from http://www.eclipse.org/modeling/mdt/downloads/?project=uml2-uml
and http://www.eclipse.org/modeling/mdt/downloads/?project=uml2tools

I can install eclipse uml2 but cannot install eclipse uml2 tools

it shows the following errors:

Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found.
  Software being installed: UML2 Diagramming (Incubation) 0.9.0.v200906190654 (org.eclipse.uml2.diagram.feature.group 0.9.0.v200906190654)
  Missing requirement: UML2 Diagramming (Incubation) 0.9.0.v200906190654 (org.eclipse.uml2.diagram.feature.group 0.9.0.v200906190654) requires 'org.eclipse.gmf.runtime.notation 0.0.0' but it could not be found

can you please check that if this plugin is compatible with the current version of eclipse you are using.

You need to install the Graphical Modeling Framework (GMF).

You can download this from here
  http://www.eclipse.org/modeling/gmp 

or install it by adding the following site to your Eclipse 'Install new software' wizard.
  http://download.eclipse.org/modeling/gmf/update-site/releases/site.xml

(Beware, GMF may have dependencies of its own!)
You should follow the instructions here:

"These are the minimum required downloads for using UML2:

    * To use UML2 Tools, you require both the UML2 Tools & EMF Runtimes.
    * To use UML2 Tools with XSD models, you will also require the XSD Runtime.
    * You will also require GMF to be installed, as well as its prerequisite dependencies. To know which Eclipse, EMF, UML2, GMF, etc. drivers were used to build a given release, see Build Dependencies for any build listed above."
