Firmware is original form apple, not modified, iTunes is the last version.. and it shows me the 3194 error when i try to restore. maybe someone knows how to pass this error. Also the phone is locked to AT&T and wasn't jailbroken.

Its a problem usually caused by attempting to install an older version of the firmware - something apply dont like.

is it a iphone 4 or 3GS ? http://www.iphone-network.net/iphone-3g-error-3194-when-restoring-solution/ that suggests a solution to restore a 3GS with the error you describe.

Just to confirm you want to do a restore from 4.0.2 to 4.0.2 and you are getting the error above that you describe ?

strange, read this link few times... did the same as it shows, and no luck :( maybe i'm doing something wrong? will help if i will post some screens?
You cannot go back for 4.0.2 as it is no longer being signed by Apple.  You need a constant signature from Apple when upgrading or downgrading your iPhone.  They stop signing older firmwares when newer firmwares come out.  As 4.1 is the newest, you can only restore to that.
