I have a VPN tunnel to another site and our Exchange Mailboxes are sycning from this site. The mailboxes are in cached mode. All the bandwidth is being taken up by port 1165.

Can anyone explain what port 1165 is and what interaction does it have with Exchange?

Thank you.

I don't think that this port is related to Exchange, but keep in mind that outlook uses dynamic ports so it could be used by an outlook client, did you try to specify the source IP

Yes, I have specified the source IP. I found that this service interacts with Outlook in Cached Mode for downloading OAB. The service is QSM GUI Service  and it uses port 1165. Is there anyway of controlling the amount of bandwidth being taken up?
