Missing SSAS databases
Hi
I have a virtual test server which is running SQL Server 2008 R2, on it I have 2 SSAS databases which are linked to Sharepoint Dashboards I had everything was working fine then windows updates happend, in SSMS it only sees one of the databases but it has no content, no cube, no views and is no longer working on the dashboard now the really weird thing is that the other database has vanished from the SSMS entirely but is still working on the Dashboard.
When I attempt to redeploy / process the databases I get error messages about their being errors in the metadata manager. from the error message it gives pointers to the database files and it seems that all of the objects are there.
Currently I can't reprocess either database, neither can I delete the one SSMS can see. As it is a test server it wasnt being backed up by our IT guys due to lack of resources.
Can anyone help shed some light on what's going on here?
Thanks,
David

Ah that sounds like it would have done it.
Our Network and System admin had attempted to do a reinstall of SSAS but it was giving him error's so he installed a new SQL instance.
Thanks.
