I am administering this server remotely so going to safe mode is not my preferred option - I was interested in any other possible solution so I could get aroung this issue.<br />

OK, try this way. Go to My Computer\D&amp;S<br />
<br />
select &quot;Default User&quot; folder and click rename, specify new name ie. (_Default User) and then rename modified folder as &quot;Default User&quot;<br />

Should work fine.<br />

I would like to modify the Default User profile on a server2003 DC. Problem is that the default user contents are always locked and cannot be deleted or modified. I tried the restart the server and still no change to the problem. Any ideas on how to make changes to this would be greatly appreciated.

Windows Server 2003 was based on Windows XP and was released in four editions: Web, Standard, Enterprise and Datacenter.
