Good morning members, I have a client with SBS2003, when it restarts, Microsoft Exchange Informatio Store doesn't start (Yes it's on auto). Could comeone please give me example script, that I can tweak, and then if a User connects in on Saturday morning, and exchange has rebooted, they can simply run from their workstation.

You can create a scheduled task that runs a bacth file on system boot. But I would find out why the services are not starting, depedning on what the problem is the batch file may not be able to start them either without running it on a delay or manually.

Thanks Ken, it seems a common problem, but no common answer, yes I'd rather get it sorted, but they trade from 6am till midnight, and this "niggle" doesn't warrant downtime. I'll go and test this on my SBS2008 box. Looking at the sceduled task option, looking good, but I would need a 20min delay or so, if it doesnt start itself on start up, the schedule (I thing) would fail. Howm do I delay this scheduled task?

In the server 2003 resource kit there is a utility called sleep.exe. You can use this in the start of the batch file

Thanks guys, got a resolve/workaround.
I have scheduled this batch at stert up. By using the ping feature, it delays for around 600 seconds (10mins), hopefully enough time to let the box stabilise. There are 4 services running.

ping 127.0.0.1 -n 600 >null
net start MSExchangeIS /y
net start MSExchangeMGMT /y
