The server method 'SetObject' failed

Exchange 2010 enterprise single server with multiple roles is giving error (attached) while saving any options under setting page of OWA.

ECP & OWA on EMC are configured for form authentication.  On IIS both ECP & OWA Virtual directories are having anonymous and basic authentication set. I want to save signature and font size and am unable to do so due to this.    Error-OWA

So the /ecp virtual dierectory has anonymous permissions?  You can also change the domain binding to include a preceding www instead of how about

anonymous logon is having read & execute permission on ECP virtual directory security tab. No luck after changing any bindings on ecp directory.

even remove and create a new ecp directory.

Hi! Ive had the same problem and this is how I fixed it:

I downloaded the Exchange 2010 SP1. Then I only run the prerequisites for exchange 2010. That gave me several suggestions and errors. I downloaded all suggested Hotfixes:


After installing all the hotfixes I rebooted my system and everything works fine again!
