WSUS 3 - Win 2008 SBS server don't report anymore

Hi,
I made many updates on the sbs 2008 server of a client and since then the server isn't reporting anymore to the wsus service...
It says that the server has not reported status in 18 days and that 53 updates are needed.
The server has no more updates to install but, as said in the title, it doesn't report anymore.
What could I do to solve this issue ? How to troubleshoot it ?
I tried to use the client diagnostic tool and the server diagnostic tool but it crashes or don't start. I guess it is because the server is a 64 bit.

Thanks forwards for your help

Regards

Laurent

I don't recall having to have a CD / DVD or be next to the server when I fixed the servers that broke that I look after.
Just noticed the post that I linked to is linked to in the link that Chris posted - I will delete my comment!

Hi,
As said before, I come back with some feedback
I uninstalled the wsus 3 and reinstalled it after reboot (and rebooted also after the installation) and now the server is detecting itself but I have still a few issues :
- the SBS console status of the updates is at unavailable
- the time of the updates installation is at 03:00 AM instead of 19:00 as told in the GPO

Is there a way to correct that ?

Best regards

since the basic question is answered, I'll make a new one with the topic SBS console shows windows update status as unavailable and I can't get to setup a correct time to install updates on the clients"
