InfoPath 2007, SharePoint 2007 Opening existing item from list (in browser) error?

Morning Experts.

I have a really strange problem occuring with my SharePoint server today.

When opening existing infopath form from the browser I get the standard Infopath form services "Form Loading" screen, and a sharepoint error in the background.  The really odd thing is, if I click on "NEW" It will open the form correctly, and randomly it actually opens the document.

Any ideas??

I would guess it is the template file. Has it been modifed?  The form template could be corrupt, you could try publishing it again, maybe to a different library as a test.  Then move or copy some forms over to it and see if you can reproduce it.

Clayfox, wanted to let you know I republished one of the templates with no success.

The bizarre thing is the error message that shows up in the background, it's the generic sharepoint "unknown error" message.

I did notice though that when I click on the "Relink documents" in the Form library settings I also get an error so I wonder if that is related.
Clay FoxDirector of Business IntegrationCommented:
If there has been nothing done to the form template that coincides with this it would have to be a server or IPFS issue.

Not sure if there have been updates lately but could try rebooting the server or services to see if that makes a change.

Ugh, well after 8 hours of digging about, I finally figured out what the problem was.

The DB server was running low on disk space, as a result the DB for Shared Services was misbehaving... go figure
