Hi, I have a windows mobile phone 6.5 and I am trying to use activesync on our exchange 2007 server the os is 2003 standard 64bit..Several users have their iphones using activsync with no issue.

My issue is when I set up my phone for activesync I keep getting this OWA login screen that pops up when its trying to sync and it tells me my password is incorrect. I am using my active directory domain login and password.  The same box that is running exchange is the AD server. Why is it continiuing to ask for my password when I know its the correct password and I am able to login via web access with the same credentials on my laptop using IE and firefox?

Your account doesn't lock out even after multiple attemps on the Mobile, right?
If that's true it could be a certificate issue. What vendor certificate you use for autodiscover and outlook web access on the CAS server?

My account doesnt get locked out. I also imported the cert into my mobile device by logging into OWA on my laptop, clicking the lock symbol and downloaded the cert. Once saved I copied it to my phone and got the Successfully installed cert message on my phone. I am still getting the OWA login screen when I try to sync. Everytime I enter my credentials it just shows the loging screen again. I was able to tesy my phone with a exchange 2003 server and it worked fine and removed it as this is not the email account I want to use.

I think I ran into an issue where there was a problem with a certain certificate vendor on a certain phone.  I think we had to import an intermediate certificate or something so it would be working that we found on the certificate vendors website.  Kind of reaching, but thought I'd check.

You might check their site, I am more familiar with DigiCert for SAN and Thawte for standard SSL.

Any further info? I already installed the cert from the details I posted above.

Only other things I can think of are trying the ActiveSync tester at the link below.

Maybe checking the specific phone and see if it has any firmware updates available to it.
It sounds like a certificate error on the phone but not sure what else to do.
