Document doesn't allow me to cut copy paste content

I have an export of a database that's in a format called structure.  I am using textpad to parse the document so I can import it into Excel in the correct format.

However when i try to copy my content selection I get the message " Cannot Cut, Copy, Drag and Drop Text containing Null (Code=0) Characters"

Is there a way I can find an remove those characters or convert this document to prevent this erros.

Could you post a small sample of data that exhibits the problem? A .txt file format would be best for this purpose.

Could you also specify which version of Excel you are using?

It's much easier to solve a problem that can be replicated than to make guesses.

alot of the information is confidentiallet me see what I can do.   It has nothing to with Excel at this point Im using a text editor (text pad) to parse the document into a correctly format CSV file so it can be imported easily into Excel.  The error happens when I search and mark alot of data in the file.  when I try to copy the marked data it won't let me.

This helped me find the issue I selected enough text to give me an error and then reduced it down till I found the affending character.  Textpad didn't give me any options to remove it.  However I opened the document in Word which was able to deal with this character and I was able to copy and paste back to text pad.

Textpad tools allow me to parse the file so much eaier.

thanks,
