SQL Server datbase login failed Event ID 3351

We are unable to perform any bakups of the SharePoint 2010 Site Collection and are getting the SQL Server datbase login failed Event ID 3351 error in the application log on the SharePoint Server every min or so.  the account referenced in the error is not listed in AD, SQL or local machine - not sure where it is coming from.

SQL Log error:

Login failed for user 'Company\SHAREPOINT2010$'. Reason: Token-based server access validation

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

here is the info for that sid:
SID: S-1-5-18
Name: Local System
Description: A service account that is used by the operating system.

You might try using a domain account for the login as described here:
