How do I verify that my send and receive conectors are good for internal email Exchange 2007
I would like to know how the internal send and receive connectors should be configured for internal email. When I send from Outlook the email is sent and leaves m outlook but never hits a wueue that I can tell and the recipient does not get it. But I can see the email count on the server rise by 1.
-You need MX records if your sending mails to external users,
-you also need you have an registered domain
-you will need to setup have internal DNS records
-Your Send connector under EMC -> Organization Configuration -> Hub Tranposrt -> Send connector will have the function of delivering emails to your exchange organization, using your MX records (which needs to be defined on your external DNS), you also have the option to use a smarthost.
-Your receive connector against internet will use the MX records as well

It is a closed network, no external email or internet connecitivy.
You will need to define how your exchange server will send out outlook users mails,
thru EMC -> server configuration -> hub transport
thru EMC -> server configuration -> hub transport

OK, so if it is internal, the 2 send connectors of port 25 and 587 should just be basic? Or is that the receive connectors? mail seems to leave my outlook when the mode is set to cache, but when cache is off, the email stays in my outlook. Regardless of cache r not, I am and nobody else can get any mail from the server.
