Folder Redirect

I am wondering if there is an easy way using web.config or another method to redirect individual folders.

The reason I want to do this is some folders are old and no longer in use, but sometimes traffic hits it.  So I would like to delete all that contents in the folder, drop 1 web.config file in that folder or something to that effect and specifiy any traffic that goes to that folder to be redirected to a different folder.

Thanks

No need for a web.config . . . an html redirect works just fine:

oh, just name the file default.html so it will pick it up automatically.
