Initialize from LSN after Schema changes on SQL 2008

This is a tough one:

I want to do a DB deployment during office hours and want a short down time at night.

My plan is to:

1. Make copy of the DB- either copy or backup or clone
2. Apply deployment to the backup i.e. new stored procedures, schemas etc... during the day.
3. In the evening I want to bring the backup DB online as the MASTER after applying Trans Logs for the day's activities.
4. To do this I will need to Initialize from LSN.

Question: Will this work after schema changes ?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.
