To save mail in EML fromat using redemption.

If a mail contains a very large attachment like > 70MB then outlook redemption takes hours to save mail on disk in EML format.

Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Do you need to save it in eml format and/or do you need it to be saved with the embedded attachment?  If not we may be able to approach it differently.

I need to save it with attachments. Thanks

And do you explicitly need it in eml, (Outlook express) format or will .msg as the outlook default be ok?

Then whilst there may be other add-ins you could use interactively I don't know of any other approach that redemption that supportsd eml output from outlook using VBA.

Now things are working. The solution is suggested by "Dmitry Streblechenko".

Redemption uses IConverterSession built-in Outlook object to perform the conversion. You can force Redemption to use its own converter (which is designed to handle large files) by creating a string value named UseInternalMIMEConversion in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ Software\Redemption and setting its value to 1 – make sure you create a new “Redemption” key: there might be already a key which looks like that, but the last “n” has a tilde.
