Configuring ODBC for MySql on Server 2008

We have a database in MySql running on a Server 2003. We are configuring a new machine with Server 2008 (64) for use as a TS server. The problem is that we are not able to create an ODBC server for this new access to the database in 2003 or 64 with driver or with driver 32 (not the DB name appears on the screen to create the ODBC). I would like to help.

          Hi!

If you are running a 32 bit MySQL server on a 64 bit Win2003 and you don't see the ODBC drivers then you are probably looking at the wrong ODBC config.
Try opening/running the ODBCAD32.exe in C:\Windows\SysWOW64 instead of C:\Windows\System32

Hope this helps.

Maybe my question has not been clear (my native language is Portuguese). The MySql is installed on a server with 2003, 32, and it is functional. The problem lies in creating ODBC from another server, 2008, 64, used as a TS server, which can not recognize the database server installed in 2003.
Thank you for your help.

The above instructions helped me to install / configure the MySQL server in 2008. But the problem remains: I can not configure an ODBC server in 2008 (64) to access the database on the server 2003 (32)

" As instruções acima me ajudaram a instalar / configurar o MySql no server 2008. Mas o problema continua: não consigo configurar um ODBC no server 2008 (64) acessar o banco de dados no server 2003 ( 32 ) "
