Hi Everyone

I would like to know how to create a script that automatically adds a new user to the default transport rule, which is used for their email signature.

Thanks

It depends on the condition you've supplied under the Hub transport rule ?

If you have a condition for example "apply to all inside the organization" you dont need to do anything for them to be applied to the hub transport rule

Hi Juuso

Thanks for that, but what if I have two rules which is two types of signatures, one which adds the users mobile number and one which does not add the mobile number to the signature?

Thanks again.
What are the conditions you've supplied on each rule?

And which rule out of these two should the users be applied against when hes sending out emails ? =]

cheers

The condition is "from people" which I specified users who want their mobile number on their email signature and the second rule is also "from people". The user should be applied to the default one which is no mobile no, if I choose the "all users inside the organisation" option then it will conflict with my second rule.

I think I should just create one rule that does this and if they dont have a mobile no, that field should be deleted from the signature.

Sounds solid to me, you could also create a DL called "Mobile" and add the users that have a mobile phone number added there and have that one rule to apply against this DL.

You could see under exceptions if there is anything that corresponds to your request (As I dont have access to a exchange environment at the moment I have a hard time coming up a combining rule to do the bouth things)!

That should work great. I would like to know how to mail-enable that DL as Exchange 2010 will not pick it up.

Thanks :-)
Do you mean just mail-enabling normal distribution lists ?

Or did I missunderstand your request?

just mail-enabling normal distribution lists.
Those Distribution Lists needs to be set to universal in Active Directory
After that go to Exchange Management Console -> Recipient Configuration -> Distribution Lists -> New Distribution list -> Then choose existing Distribution List (after they have been changed to universal they will appear here and you can mail-enable them)
