Blocking all .ru and .cn with a Sonicwall NSA 2400

I have a Sonicwall NSA 2400 and I would like to block all traffic from .ru and .cn but, can see how I would do this. Is it possible with this firewall and how if it is.

i've never blocked an entire domain.  however, if you have the Content Filter security service licensed, you might be able to setup a custom deny entry for *.ru and *.cn.  you'd have to try it to know for sure.  here are some KBs you might find helpful.

I'll look into these, we do have content filtering.

Make your self the DNS (internally) root for *.ru and *.cn and have a wild card record for everything point to loopback.
Any record or subdomain off these wildcards would resolve to 127.0.0.1.  Kind of a cache poisoning thing bot for those domains.
I would also suggest that the dns ports 53/UDP/TCP only be allowed out/in from your corporate dns servers (which I am assuming you have already thought of that).

Other idea is to grab the netblocks that are commonly assigned to those Roots *.RU *.CN and route them to NULL, blackhole them.

Those are my wild ideas.....
