Exchange 2010 OWA argument exception with culture id 4096

The Exchange Server at the office of a customer is newly installed, including SP1. The owa never worked. We get the following error at the website:

[ArgumentException: Die Kultur mit der ID 4096 (0x1000) wird nicht unterstützt
(The culture id 4096 is not supported)

Since about 1 week we have a support call at microsoft, but they were not able to fix the problem. Until now we tried to reinstall the CAS-role and recreate the owa virtual directory.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

ok,
let us try this
Set-OwaVirtualDirectory -identity "Owa (Default Web Site)" -LogonAndErrorLanguage 1033
this will set the OWA language to 1033
restart IIS and try again

We just solved the problem! :-) The Solution was the following:

On the Server is a client software called 'pvrat' installed. This client registered a custom culture with the id 4096. You can find it using the command [system.Globalization.CultureInfo]::GetCultures('AllCultures') with the powershell. Whenever a client started OWA the owa application tried to load this culture.

Piece of the culture table:
LCID             Name             DisplayName
----             ----             -----------
4096             x-pvx            Provox Custom Culture
...
...

After preparing the powershell with following command
[System.Reflection.Assembly]::Load("sysglobl, Version=2.0.0.0, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a, Culture=neutral") we were able to unregister the custom culture with the command [system.Globalization.CultureAndRegionInfoBuilder]::Unregister('x-pvx').

That's it!
