Hello,
I have the problem that  my Outlook (2007 Enterprise Edition)  doesnt "show" me the MS CRM Dynamics (V4) Plugin.
I have tried several times to deinstall and install the Plugin and also the whole Office Package but it doesnt work.
The curious thing is that I have the same workstation also with Windows 7 (64 Bit) with the same office version and there its working without problems.
What must i do, to fix that problem?
I hope you can help me.

Thank you in advance.

Is your Outlook 32 bit or 64 bit?
The CRM Client will only work with Outlook 32 bit.
Doh! Didn't read that properly as you say you have 2007!
Have you ensured you are on the same Rollup as the other machine?

Thank you for your suggestions

- I ran diagnostic wizard, did not find a solution
- same rollup as on other machines
- The strange thing is:: The addin does not appear in the outlook-plugin-menu (Tools-customize). Is there perhaps a registry-setting that is corrupt?
You said you went through Tools > Customize, can you go through this and see if the "Microsoft Dynamics CRM" add-in is showing at all and if so, what section it is under:
1. In Outlook 2007, go to Tools > Trust Center
2. Click on the Add-ins section

If it is showing as Disabled:
3. You will now see all active, non-active, and disabled add-ins. Click on the add-in you want to enable/disable and then click on the Go button towards the bottom.
4. This will then open up the COM add-ins page. You can then check/uncheck the add-ins you want to enabe or disable.

"HighlanderX" I have did what you write.
The CRM Plugin was disabled.
I  checked it in the COM add-ins page, but its still not working  I can`t choose it at  "View/Toobars".
Strange is that if I am doing it again (opening up the COM add-ins page) the checkbox is always diasbled??? It doesnt save the settings.
I have also restarted Outlook but it doesnt helps.
Do you know whcih Rollup of the Outlook CRM Client you are on?

Go through Control Panel > Programs and Features > View Installed Updates, wait a couple of minutes then sort by Name.
Under Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 for Microsoft Office Outlook, let me know what is listed (e.g. Update Rollup 11...)

Problem is resolved!

If you install the CRM Plugin you just click on the "SetupClient.exe"
Then the CRM Plugin is installed but in the Trust Center/Add-Ins section it is still a "Disabled Application".
Because of that Office can`t save the "Checked" Status of the CRM Plugin in the COM add-ins page.
--> CRM is not configurated for Outlook.

To configure the CRM Plugin right you must do the following steps:
1.Install the CRM Plugin with the "SetupClient.exe"

2. In the same directory as the "SetupClient.exe" you go into the "ConfigWizard" directory.
There is also a exe file which is called "Microsoft.Crm.Client.Config".
You click on it you and go throw the Configuration Assistant.
-->  CRM is configurated for your Outlook.

3. You start Outlook and yet you can check the CRM Plugin in the TrustCenter, Outlook saves that status and you see the CRM symbole.

thank you for the help!
