I'm trying to install ARCserve r15. After following the whole steps required for the installation, the program starts to install the component CA License 1.9.1 and never continues to install any other components. The progress bar restarts after being completely filled. The installation process remains in that state until I manualy stop it. I tried with diferent users, all of them are local administrators on that server, even I tried the option "run as Administrator".

In the event viewer I can see the following errors:

A timeout was reached (30000 milliseconds) while waiting for the Event Log Watch service to connect.
The Event Log Watch service failed to start due to the following error:
The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.

Other information. My server runs a Windows 2008 R2 and SQL Server 2008 R2.

I will appreciate any help with this.

Please help me to refine my question.
I found a tech doc talking about older versions but the heart of the problem seems to be the same which is security. Try turning UAC off and try it again.

Here is the link to the tech doc.
