Exchange 2007 OWA issue from Internet

I've just installed a Exchange server 2007 (with SP3) on a server with Windows Server 2008 .
I now try to make work OWA.
Everything is OK from inside the network when I try the URL : https://server.localdomain.loc/owa

Bu nothing work when I try to access to owa from Internet. The URL I try is

I've checked that dns name is resolved correcly nd returns the public IP address on witch i've made a redirectional NAT to the Exchange server inside the network.

I've also configured the "External URL" to "" in the properties of owa in the EMC.

So is there any specific configuration to make owa work from Internet ?

Can you access it via IP address?
Did you create a DNS A record to the IP address for the OWA?

No I can't access to owa with https://<public-ip-address>/owa from Internet.
Yes, there is a A DNS record : when I do a "nslookup " it gives me my public Ip address. So everything seems OK from the DNS side.

What error do you get when trying externally?

have you opened https in your firewall? (i.e. natted the external ip port 443 to internal 443?)

Have you checked the "Authentication tab" under EMC-> Server Configuration-> Client Access-> Outlook Web Access

If you are using "Standard Authentication", Make sure " Basic Authentication" is ticked. Otherwise use, Forms-Based Authentication.

With IE the error is : The page cannot be displayed
Yes, everything is OK from the firewall side.

We have just replaced an old Exchange 2003 server by a new server with Exchange 2007. OWA was working perfectly with Exchange 2003. Now the https port is redirected by the firewall to the new server. But it's not working !!
If your sitting behind a firewall, the firewall is your "face" against internet. public ip address should be the firewalls public ip address, then set the rules in your firewall to direct / allow the traffic to go against your owa of exchange 2007.

Your MX records ip address is what ? Firewalls or exchange servers  public ip address ?
