Outlook Calendar Problem - Missing Appointment

I have a user who was sent a recurring appointment and must have deleted or became currupt and now when you send them an update to the requiring appointment it will not let him accept the new one, because it cannot find the old one.

What version of Outlook do you have?  We have seen all kinds of oddness at times with recurring meetings.  We have found that sometimes the meeting itself won't show on the calendar view, but it does if you look for it in category view.  The originator of the meeting may need to resend the series.
I did find a solution to it, you had to go into recurring Appointment view and delete and then it would let you select the revised one.
