Help Finding Printer Drivers for Server 2008 R2

FlashJack9 used Ask the Experts™

I set up a new Terminal Server on Windows Server 2008 R2 and am having some issues with a few printers.  They are HP printers, but the only printer driver for them that works with R2 is the Universal Printer Driver.  These seem to not work correctly as the users are reporting they print slow and some printers are only printing blank pages.

I have heard that Microsoft is putting drivers for printers in Windows update and you can get them from there.  Is this correct?

A couple printers I'm having an issue with are:

HP LaserJet P1505n
HP LaserJet 2035

Thanks for any help!

You can use the Windows 7 drivers since the kernel is the same.

If you are printing through TS server you can use TS Easy Print as well.

If the drivers you currently have the printer manufacture doesn't work properly then I would contact the manufacturer could be an issue with the driver itself and will have to be repackaged

Thanks for the info.  I will try the Windows 7 option.

How do you use TS Easy Print?

Thanks for the help.  I'll check it out!
