I just checked the video on Snagit's page - it seems to capture still pictures, not video?

Camtasia's looks for that purpose - is 175 MB? is that typical size for apps like these? with low internet speed in this building, that is going to take a while.. wish it was smaller..
Camtasia is definitely your best bet. However if you have low internet speeds in the office, you can expect a poor experience in the webinar, and a poor recording as bandwidth is all important if they are screen sharing. If it is just PowerPoint then it should not be too bad.

See if the provider of the webinar is offering a recording of it as well. Also capturing the webinar with a software like Camtasia can be a violation if the host of the webinar is attempting to sell a recording possibly so be careful. there as well.

Good luck,

Anthony

Snagit can record screen portions as well. I use 9 at work, and just have to change the capture profile, and it works great....

thanks for your input-

could these tools also record external voice- not only the digital coming out of the webinar?

I am not sure about that. I use Audacity for that, records everything coming out the sound card, should you choose the option....

OK- but there is no Video-city out there, which can record external audio + screen video?

thanks
