Exchange 2003 owa not working with ssl certificate

Ive just installed Exchange 2003 on a Server 2003 machine. At the time of the installation the 'default web site' was 'stopped.

After the installation I required the 'exchange' virtual site to use ssl.

Problem is: there is no ssl certificate installed on the server and therefore  have no owa access!!

How can I create the default certificate that apparently wasn't created at the time of the Exchange install???

rpliner,

Thank you for your posts. It seems like the 2nd one is exactly what I need. I followed all the steps and I get stuck at the certificate import step. It seems that the http://server/certsvr is not working/setup.

Is there any other way that I can Import/install the pending certificate?? or how would I get the certificate webpage to work??

rpliner,

none of your posts enabled me  to get the 'certsvr' working.

Is there any way that I can bypass 'certsvr' and get the certificate up and running??
try selecting send to an online cert authority and see if that works

I would need an 'online' authority for that, which I don't have.

Non of the above helped me. I ended up changing the default port for OWA to :85 and its working 'without' ssl.
