job stuck in queue, not initiating in Dynamics AX 2009

     We are testing Dynamics AX, prior to our February 2011 'Go Live' date.
I am working on a help desk ticket where I find the batch server not starting enqueued jobs.  No jobs at all, ever,  have been executed.
The AOS servers have been installed for some time, at least a year, and have not changed in the last 4 months.

This is run from a client, with the DB and AOS on separate hardware servers.

If the batch is running from client side,
go to Basic > Periodic > Batch > Processing
choose the correct batch group and press OK

Also make sure the there are AOS assign for batches and the are in a batch group.

Problem was resolved by aligning the AOS instance name with the appropviate server service name.
