Lower Hyper-v hard drive space

I want to lower one of my hyper-v hard drives and add it back to the core hard drive.
I am using windows 2008 server for both the core and the hyper-v machines.

How do I do this?

You'll need to use a utility for this - Microsoft does not make one (I'm not sure if they support this action), but there are a number of free utilities. Here's one I found, and I think I've used it before:
