Looking for code to export an .RDL file to .pdf file in vbscript.  I also have parameters to send on the .RDL file.

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I assume you mean a report with data  not the RDL file itself.

Yes, I have created reports in reporting services that users can execute on reporting services via intranet. I would like to have them run by a batch script with set parameters, creating a .pdf which will be stored in a directory for later viewing. I know I can schedule that to be done from reporting services but I want these task in a script that I can execute from SQL Server agent.

I'm new to reporting services ....

Thanks!

Check this out: Generating PDF reports programmatically using SQL Server Reporting Services 2005, in C#

Or you could...create subscriptions in SSRS that would be triggered by Snapshot updated and this will have a mail sent for instance with an attachment at anytime the snapshot (and history) was updated based on a schedule or manual execution.

what does this mean:

Step 2: Add a web reference to the web services exposed by Reporting Services 2005, i.e., ReportExecution2005 and ReportService2005.
