Windows 2000 Functional Server and Forest Level with new 2008 R2 DC

I have one Windows 2000 DC left.  I won't be able to replace the hardware until later next year and it is not worth the time to upgrade it right now.  I am introducting a Windows 2008 R2 DC to my forest.  I am running in 2000 Native mode.

I am clear that I can stay where I am and I will not be able to take full advantage of features until I upgrade it. However, I just wanted to run it by you all to see if you think I'll have any issues running 2008 R2 DC at this functional level.

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.
