Symantec EndPoint protection
I have installed Symantec EndPoint protection on a win 2008 R2 server. Every time liveupdate runs I get the message "LiveUpdate encounteded one or more errors. return code = 4" I have searched the symantec forums for help and tried everything I found to no avail. I need to get this running before I can add this server to production. Does anyone any Ideas?

Thanks for the posts. I have tried all of the suggestions but to no avail. When I run liveupdate by itself I see about 25 files downloaded but at the end of the live update it fails with a LU1835: "Connection to the LiveUpdate server failed" . If I run the liveupdate from symantec endpoint manager i get get the return code = 4 error, but the log reports a 1835 error. I have read symantec's solution http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH53376 and tried those suggestions. So far nothing has worked. Does anyone have any other ideas??
Are you sure this system is not infected with malware?

Setting the proxy settings worked. Even though I actually did that before! It worked this time. I hope it will continue to work. Thanks
