Hi Experts,

I'm in need of urgent help. The situation I have is this.

Database (In Recovery). I need to get the database back up urgently, the problem is that the log file 68Gb on a drive that is 70Gb. The database (26Gb)  is on a separate drive that is also 70Gb.

I've tried taking the database offline and renaming the log file but the database comes back as 'unavailable' in the properties.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Cheers, naexpert.

when you have the database in recovery mode, you might need to just run this:RESTORE DATABASE yourdb WITH RECOVERY

I don't have any recent backups of this database, very bad I know. My database is stuck in the (In Recovery) mode, do I need to take it off line first before I run this command? Will this command ignore the log file and create  a new one?

you don't need a backup, at least not to try the above.
