cannot uninstall/re-install CS3 master collection suite
Hi,
I’m having problems getting through this:
I am running Windows 7
I have installed Adobe CS3 Mater Collection Suite in trial version. The programs were working ok but after some days starting any of the programs gives this error:
"You cannot use this product at this time. You must repair the problem by uninstalling and reinstalling this product or contacting your IT administrator or Adobe customer support for help."
I have tried to uninstall and re-install the suite without success: for install the setup would start but then just silently exits without any error or warning. For uninstalling in Control Panel it seems to load something but nothing comes up. For any other program I try to uninstall the process works without problems.
I have followed Adobe article http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/402/kb402048.html
I have tried to run the Adobe CS5 Cleaner Tool for Windows but it finds no Adobe products installed
I haven’t used MSICUU2.exe as it has been discontinued by Microsoft
I have tried to uninstall using Windows in Safe Mode but no luck, the uninstall does not start.
I have tried to create a new user with admin rights to uninstall the Suite but no luck.

no, this supposes that the uninstall via control panel works, then it shows how to delete remaining files.
In my case the regular uninstall does not work

thanks for the suggestion Jeremy.
I tried to delete what possible manually including the registry, however I could not reinstall neither uninstall CS3, same like before.
I have tried to install CS5, it seemed to work in the beginning but then other errors popped up.
I'll give CS5 another go but this is out of topic.
I've read of many people having problem uninstalling Adobe products, it's a shame. And then you are left with much rubbish in the registry that you never manage to clean up properly
