Linux-HA Configuration Question

I am new to linux-ha, and multicasting in general.  Basically I am going through the linux-ha admin guide, and I am on the section for configuring the ha.cf file http://www.linux-ha.org/doc/ch-initial-config.html

I am confused about the mcast and bacast parameters in the file, and the explanation below the example.

It would appear that I have to create another interface strictly for mcast, and then possibly another for bcast, in addition to my eth0... is this correct?

The database cluster is only on one local network segment, so can I do it all on my eth0 interface?

Thanks in advance!
